Many people arrive early in order to spend a few days on their own in Rome. The nearest train station to the residency is in Perugia. If you plan to take a train or bus to Perugia. From there a cab is approximately $30. You must let us know via email your estimated time of arrival, so we can help you coordinate your travel plans.
Other people fly into Rome's Fiumicino airport. Arrangements for direct pick-ups and drop offs at Fiumicino Airport in Rome, approximately 2 1/2 hours from Corciano must be made in advance for a charge (The fare is 100 Euros per person each way) in addition to the residency fee. We must have the date, airline, flight number and time of arrival/departure for airport transports. We will arrange for a bus or car to meet at a specified time (usually later morning/early afternoon) at the airport to pick residents up on the morning of the first day of the session. NOTE: If you reserve and later cancel transportation to or from the airport less than one month before the first day of the session, payment cannot be refunded, as we must pay for the bus in full, even if you change your mind.
A free parking space, steps from your room, is available if you choose to rent a car. Car rental service is available at Fiumicino airport and also at the railway station in Perugia, where you may wish to rent a car short term for your own excursions to locations outside those included with your residency (2024 rates approximately 50-60 dollars per day). Please note that car rentals in Europe will require a major credit card and will NOT accept a combination debit/credit card.
If you are arriving independently, the address of the villa is
Via Marcantonio Bonciari, 126, 06034 Corciano PG, Italy. Cab drivers generally know "Villa Pieve" or "Castello del Vescovo".

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; We must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.
